2025 Review of Hempstead House Hotel and Spa

Where do I start?! Our whole experience at Hempstead House, from the first planning meeting to the actual day, was amazing beyond what we ever imagined. Lucy made the planning and organising so stress free and enjoyable, recommending an amazing photographer (Samantha Jones) and cake maker (The Cake Witch) and made us feel like nothing was too much through the whole process. Danny…well what can we say. The man was a legend as Master of Ceremonies! He brought everything together on the day and provided us with a day to remember always. But it wasn’t just them, the whole team at Hempstead House were amazing, we cannot praise them all enough, from the front desk, to the chef, to the waiting staff, to the bar staff, to the people who took care of our room (oh the Ashby Suite is phenomenal!) everybody THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

We will see you on our first anniversary!🥰

So, my wife and me got married here in August and I don’t think I can come up with enough superlatives to say just how good this place is. From the moment we just popped in to enquire, Danny was nothing but welcoming. Him and Lucy took care of our every need with constant communication and advice. At one point Danny even assisted putting Marie’s shoes on. absolutely nothing was too much trouble. From liaising with third parties to making our families feel so welcome.
The venue was just perfect for our needs and the food and beverage choices and quality were second to none, not to mention the staff who couldn’t have been more helpful.
We only wish we could do it again next week and if any couple are looking for a wedding venue then this place is just brill.
If I could more than 5 stars then I would.

Where do I start with my review? Hempstead House is superb! Beautiful, elegant, charming, and has staff that are equally as amazing!
We held our wedding day ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening party at Hempstead House and both our guests and ourselves were blown away by the venue and its staff.
Danny Bunce (Wedding Co-ordinator) was superb throughout the whole preparation stage, even tailoring the menu for the wedding breakfast to cater for fussy eaters in our party! Danny was so organised, and an absolute pleasure to work with!
He is the biggest credit to the Hotel. This gentleman is a pure professional! He went above and beyond leading up to the wedding day, and on the day itself, he was outstanding! I simply don't have the words to describe Danny, and how much he made our day for us! This man is a legend!!!
Each one of the waiting staff were polite, smartly dressed, and extremely efficient in everything they did on the day.
The hotel itself and its rooms are lovely - spacious, clean, and elegant in decor.
The food prepared is of the highest quality! If you are looking for a venue that does it all - has all the charm and elegance - and has staff that truly go above and beyond - then Hempstead House is the venue for you!!
Many thanks once again to Danny & the Team for making our special day outstanding and memorable not only for us, but our guests as well!

We were guests at Jodie's and James wedding last Thursday and just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff they were all so friendly and really could not do enough for you. The wedding organiser Danny was amazing and made sure that Jodie and James day run smoothly which he truly succeeded as the whole day from start to finish was amazing. Danny even took time to read place names so when asking if we wanted wine top ups, he was using our names sometimes it’s the little things that matter. We also stayed the night the bedrooms where lovely and very clean again they were available for us to check in early to get ready at the hotel, Breakfast in the morning again lovely and for all the wedding guests that had stayed we had our room again a great touch.
Finally we had booked a massage, the staff in the spa restaurant could again not be more friendly. and the massage was amazing, would recommend a trip.

Had our wedding at Hempstead house at the weekend and it was perfect! Everything fell in to place just right... food = great service = above and beyond!

Danny the wedding manager couldn't have done anymore! Constantly going the extra mile for us - we met many wedding managers in Kent and we don't think any of them would've cared about our wedding quite so much as Danny and the staff at Hempstead house.
At other weddings always here of at least 1 thing going wrong... at ours nothing went wrong (touch wood still waiting for photos to arrive on time)
As locals we have now joined the dining club.. and hope to join the spa too!
I can't recommend Danny and Hempstead house enough! We will be loyal customers for a long time to come

Thinking about Hempstead House for your wedding? Don’t think.... just book.... you will have just made one of the best, most important decisions of your life. Just Perfect, what dreams are made of.
We could not have chosen a more perfect wedding venue. From the day we visited and made the decision nothing was too much trouble. The planning and communication were faultless leading up to the day. Wonderful reception on our arrival, beautiful room and attentive staff. There are too many wonderful staff to give them all a personal mention. Danny was our go to man for the day. My expectations were exceeded with my hand on my heart, I could not have wished for anything more perfect. I was almost reduced to tears when you showed me the room with the decorations and tables all set up, just beautiful. Thank you all, each and every one of you contributed to making us the most perfect day. The day just flowed, stress free and was amazing. Our guests have all said how wonderful you all were. The food delicious, plentiful and a well-presented wedding breakfast with faultless service. The evening buffet was fantastic, a great selection of food and plenty for all.

Danny, you have a job that utilises your strengths and you will forever be in our hearts for making our wedding day so special.

We visited several wedding venues back in early 2024 and having been to Hempstead House before I knew it was a great contender. From the moment we met with Danny the wedding co-ordinator we knew this had to be the place. Right from the first meeting and up to the day after the wedding we were treated with the utmost respect, communication was second to none and a pre-wedding rehearsal calmed my nerves.
We had a twilight wedding hotel with some of my other guests and we dined in the lakes restaurant, again we could not fault this, food was excellent 👍,
That afternoon Danny and I prepared for 70 guests with a hot and cold buffet, the food was amazing, all our family and guests commented on how wonderful it was.
The majority of my guests had booked a room and made use of the excellent spa facilities which were included within the room price. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious.
The evening before the wedding I stayed at the our wedding venue room having several cups of tea along the way and Danny gave me some tips as to what to do/and not for the table layouts/decorations, he certainly calmed my nerves!
On the day of the wedding it was a little hit and miss as to whether it was going to rain , Danny checked the weather forecast and rang me several times to discuss whether we should go ahead and have the ceremony outside, as it was we did have it outside and the rain held off.
So as all brides say..."the day goes too quickly", and it certainly did, Danny and his team made our day perfect, he had everything under control and my guests said how professional, friendly, and caring he was, his attention to detail was impeccable, he certainly knows his job!
All the other staff, the receptionists, the lakes restaurant staff, the night staff all made us feel really welcome and always offered a helping hand...just such a lovely team.
Well I know I've written a long review but
I would not hesitate to recommend Hempstead House as a wedding venue and Danny as your wedding coordinator...it was absolutely amazing for both us, our family's and our guests. It certainly was a magical experience.

From the 1st meeting till the wedding day, Danny and all the staff were absolutely amazing to help us plan our day!
Nothing was to much or to little. I felt so at ease as Danny took control of making sure it runs very smoothly and our wishes were followed through. Communication and meeting following the wedding made us more relaxed as our day was getting closer, as all of it was ina very capable hands and very organised.
We had our ceremony outside and it was amazing and intimate. Rehearsal before hand was very handy as well as we know what will happen on a day and that we will not be stressed at all. The package included rooms for our family to stay, and it meant we could have a breakfast next morning on one bug fable! It's such a nice thing to do and to appreciate your love ones. Overall, it was stress free, very organised experience due to Danny and his staff 😊 We couldn't recommend this venue enough !

We had our wedding here 25th October 2025 and what can I say? Everything was absolutely perfect and couldn't have been any better. The staff are absolutely amazing and will always be there for you, no matter what. Our wedding co-ordinator based at Hempstead House (Danny) has become more like family than a staff member. The food, support, service and venue were on point. It draws you in and makes you come back time and time again. A wedding should be one of the most special days of your life but with Hempstead House, it becomes so much more. It does not become a day, more a part of your life and I strongly advise that anybody looking to get married.... book this haven...you won't regret it. I have never known for every guest to sing the praises of the venue, food and service/staff to such an extent. Not one complaint, not even a grumble. 10 out of 10 across the board including cleanliness. Love to everyone at Hempstead House, you will always hold a special place in our heart and we look forward to seeing you all soon. All our love.

Amazing venue, amazing staff, amazing accommodation, amazing experience & exquisite food. I cannot highly recommend this venue enough. Attended family wedding here. Danny, Harrison and the team are by far the most attentive to detail I have ever known. Nothing was overlooked, they were on hand at every moment throughout the day and night. Everything ran like clockwork and so smoothly.
The facilities are superb.

On the whole a fantastic stay and we can’t wait to return.
